I am passionate about working with clients presenting with eating disorders, and co-occurring disorders such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and other women’s issues. In my practice, I use a treatment model that is evidence-based and eclectic, as I believe each client’s needs vary. These models include, but are not limited to, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Acceptance Commitment Therapy.
Beginning the journey to recovery from an eating disorder is difficult and one that requires tremendous courage-I strive to create an environment that is built on a foundation of trust and safety for this process. I have experience in the partial inpatient and outpatient levels of care in treating eating disorders. Additionally, I offer individual sessions and group work for clients presenting with eating disorders. I practice from a non-diet and Health at Every Size (HAES) approach and believe that working with an interdisciplinary team is most beneficial for recovery. Referrals to dietitians, physicians, and psychiatrists in the Nashville area can be provided.
I also have a special interest in treating a variety of women’s issues, such as issues around relationships, anxiety, depression, identity concerns, family of origin, trauma, and boundary setting. I believe holistic treatment that is centered around compassionate care provides healing, recovery, and insight into our truest selves. My approach to therapy is relational and person-centered, as I believe clients know themselves best. I would be honored to walk this journey with you.
I provide counseling to individual clients at an outpatient level of care in the Hillsboro area of Nashville, Tennessee. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, trying new restaurants, reading, and listening to good music.
